Michele Sciolette

Biography
As Group CTO, Michele is responsible for spearheading innovation and sharing of technology across the group as well as driving continuous improvements to Cinesite’s tools and infrastructure in line with the global business strategy.
Following an MSc degree in computer science specialising in image processing and computer vision,
Michele began his career as a software developer in Italy, building tools for VFX artists. In 2001, he
joined Cinesite as a member of the Research and Development team and has been with the company
ever since.
Initially focusing on compositing and imaging technology, Michele became increasingly involved with
other parts of the production pipeline, eventually leading Cinesite’s development team. He was
instrumental to the setting up of Cinesite Montreal’s studio, Cinesite’s move into feature animation and the following expansion of the Cinesite Group.
