Ellen D. Zhong is Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Princeton University, where she leads the E.Z. Lab and develops machine learning methods at the intersection of AI and structural biology. Her research focuses on recovering and interpreting dynamic protein structure landscapes from cryo-EM data, addressing structural variability in molecular reconstruction. She received her PhD from MIT, advised by Bonnie Berger and Joey Davis, and previously worked at D. E. Shaw Research and interned with Google DeepMind’s AlphaFold team. She earned her BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
