Richard is a pioneer at the crossroads of creativity and technology, with over 45 years of trailblazing work in computer graphics, visual effects, and immersive media. He helped launch PDI and its proprietary animation pipeline that earned two Academy Technical Achievement Awards, and produced the one of the first digital human stunt double on film. As CEO of Cloudpic he built a distributed production platform that now powers global studio workflows, and he has advised studios, startups and universities on AI and next gen content creation. He received the ASIA SIGGRAPH Innovator Lifetime Achievement Award in 2025.
