Zhihao Yao is a 3D designer and media artist exploring creative tools and the digital transformation of traditional arts. His practice translates shadow puppetry into generative systems using AI and digital fabrication, enabling works to exist as reusable tools and workflows. His 3D-printed work Rising is collected by the Embassy of Switzerland in China, and he was commissioned to design a centennial gift for Professor Chen-Ning Yang. His research has been presented at CHI, UIST, and SIGGRAPH Asia.
