Zhen Yu is a leading figure in contemporary Chinese digital art. His works have been selected for the 74th Cannes Film Festival and the 38th China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, and have received awards including the 2025 Hollywood ShortsFest Honorary Award and Best Visual Effects, the Golden Dolphin Gold Award, the Huamei Award, and Italy’s THE PLAN Award. His research spans AI and digital art, mixed reality, spatial computing, AAA metaverse/games, and immersive cinema. He serves as Vice Dean of the School of Innovation Design, China Academy of Art.
