Nicole Koltick is the founding Director of the Design Futures Lab, with a BFA in Studio Art from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Architecture from UCLA. As an artist, designer, and researcher, her work spans exhibitions, publications, and funded collaborations. She is committed to anti-disciplinary practice, exploring diverse scales and methods across art, design, and research. As a tenured professor, she develops innovative design research models through objects, environments, and experiences. Her work emphasizes ecological systems and imaginative approaches to complexity. Her project Phenomenal Machines gained international recognition, and she regularly exhibits, publishes, and lectures globally.
