Presenter

Hyo Jee Kang is an artist-researcher and Associate Professor at Korea National University of Transportation, working across music, neuroscience, and interactive media. Her research explores improvisation, consciousness, pain perception, and human-centered technology through brain-signal analysis and artistic practice. She received a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Seoul National University and has presented research and performances internationally. Her work integrates fNIRS-based neuroimaging, real-time interaction, and conceptual performance to investigate transformative human experiences. Kang’s projects have been presented at international conferences and festivals, and her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including PLOS ONE.
