Dylan Seychell is a Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Malta, where he leads the Dawl AI Lab and serves as Principal Investigator on a portfolio of funded research projects spanning computer vision, environmental AI, and media analysis. His recent work applies machine learning to infrastructure monitoring, robotic litter retrieval, and automated news video analysis. He has co-authored two books, holds IEEE Senior Member status, and completed his PhD in Computer Vision at the University of Malta. He is the principal investigator of Malta's National AI Literacy Programme and serves as a certified technical expert with the Malta Digital Innovation Authority.
