Biography
Bex joined Wētā FX in 2017 to work on Robert Rodriguez’s Alita: Battle Angel, a project which stretched the envelope in the realm of Facial Motion. As a Lead Facial Motion Animator, Bex plays a critical role in the creation of computer-generated facial animation in visual effects movies, ensuring that the subtleties of an actor's performance, translated to the movie's characters are realistic, believable, and emotionally engaging. She has most recently wrapped on James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Hailing from the United Kingdom and growing up in the golden era of history-changing technologies within film, animation and games, she was always looking for a creative career path. While studying animation at university, this path pivoted into specialising in facial animation and the technologies consistently developing to bring performances to life.
