Naoto Abe is a Senior Research Engineer at NTT, Inc., exploring the convergence of virtual and physical worlds. He leads the project management of initiatives such as scanning an entire real-world island to generate large-scale point clouds and capturing artists as dynamic point-cloud performances for real-time transmission to remote locations. By building highly realistic virtual environments grounded in reality, enabling interaction with users, and fostering deep immersion, he aims to create new experiences in extended reality (XR).
