Nick Bartzokas is a Senior R&D Software Engineer at The New York Times, where he creates interactive articles, 3D visualizations, XR experiences, and AI-powered tools for journalism. He studied computer engineering and cognitive science at Rutgers University and has spent decades in tech, previously serving as Associate Director of Science Visualization at the American Museum of Natural History and as AI product manager at Sesame Street. His work has been recognized by the Online Journalism Awards, the Society for News Design, and the Society of Publication Designers, and showcased at SIGGRAPH.
