LEE Jonghoon is an acclaimed animation filmmaker known for his delicate emotional sensibility and poetic visual language. He began laying the foundation for his creative journey by studying at the Korea Animation High School in 2005 and the Korea National University of Arts’ Department of Animation in 2007. Since 2013, he has been active as a director at VCRWORKS, working across a wide range of projects including short films, brand films, music videos, and TV campaigns. His recent film (2024) is currently touring major international festivals, including Anima Brussels, the Korean Film Festival in Paris, and the Peinaki Beijing Festival. With a distinctive aesthetic and narrative voice, Lee captures emotional depth within everyday moments, earning recognition both in Korea and internationally for his unique cinematic sensibility.
