DescriptionThis study clusters 93 drivers by pre-take-over gaze and head-movement behavior, identifying three attentional types that reveal a Forward Gaze Paradox and a cognitive-behavioral dissociation undetectable by current gaze-based driver monitoring, providing a foundation for adaptive take-over request interfaces in conditional automated driving.
