CANCELED: Everyone Is an Obscure Artist: Living Lineages in Computational Creativity
DescriptionFame is an edge case. Obscurity is the normal condition of creative work.
Important creative technology often appears first as demos, tools, performances, installations, prototypes, virtual worlds, and interactive systems — not papers. Even when formally presented or archived, these works can disappear from the field’s working memory because research culture transmits papers better than living artifacts.
This BOF invites artists, researchers, tool-builders, educators, and independent creators to discuss how experimental work becomes legible, transmissible, and buildable across computer graphics, AI, XR, animation, games, and computational performance.
The goal is continuity: a living support network for work carried forward.
